The
qualifying period for entries is May 1 2007 to April 30 2008. Performance
during this period and projects being completed in this period are
eligible for entry.
Entries
should be submitted on the official entry form [here].
Every
entry MUST include a top sheet, summarising and listing the key
points of the entry.
Each
entry can only be made in a single category, and it must closely
address the class criteria.
Judges
reserve the right to move entries if they are deemed more appropriate
elsewhere.
Light
rail/metro entries are eligible for all classes.
There
is an entry fee of £23.50 (including VAT) for all classes
with the exception of Outstanding Personal Contribution and Station
of the Year (for which no fees are payable). Your entry should be
accompanied by a cheque or credit card details for £23.50
per category, payable to Bauer Active Ltd, or an official order.
Credit card details should be sent on a separate sheet of paper.
Judges
must be allowed reasonable access to a site if it is deemed necessary
as part of the judging process.
All
or part of any entry may be published free of any reproduction fees
by RAIL and in any media supporting the National Rail Awards.
Where
a number of companies are involved (as in Project of the Year),
entrants MUST list all major contractors and partners involved.
Where
an individual is entering on behalf of their company, the company
should authorise the submission (a signature from a senior regional
manager, director or company secretary is sufficient).
The
judges decision is final and no discussion or correspondence relating
to any of their decisions will be entered into.
