Is it a tram or bus? Maybe a ‘bram’ – or even a ‘trus’?!

Whatever it is, it’s b****y huge, or even ‘gi-normous’ as this techie website would have it. Whatever tram train or guided bus ideas we may play about with with here, the Chinese do it much bigger. And I do mean much bigger.
This is what we’re told by a techie website:
“This cunning project by Shenzhen Huashi Future Car-Parking Equipment actually makes sense. The idea is to make use of the space between regular-size cars and bridges, thus saving construction costs as well as minimizing congestion impact by allowing cars to drive underneath these jumbo buses. Fancy hitching a ride? You better start planning your move to Beijing's Mentougou district, which is where Huashi will commence building its first 186km of track at year's end. For now, enjoy the Chinese demo video after the break (translation text at source link).”

The Chinese cannot be accused of small thinking, or indeed limiting their thinking to any kind of box. Regular listeners to my mumblings here may remember this reinvention of the slip coach idea for high speed rail.
No lack of vision in China as far as rail is concerned, eh?
